The Cuban Association of the United Nations, on behalf of the civil society organizations that make it up, rejects and categorically and strongly denounces the ruthless campaign financed and organized by the government of the United States of America and its local mercenaries, directed to provoke a social explosion and the international isolation of Cuba.

The Cuban nation is once again under relentless attack. The usual enemies wait for the moment to deal a mortal blow to our Revolution.
Making use of typical elements of unconventional warfare, a powerful and well-financed communication operation is developed that seeks to impose matrices of un-governability and social disorder in Cuba, and calls - in violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations - for a humanitarian intervention to mask the true objective of a military invasion.

It is evident that they are convinced that the strategy and procedures followed in other latitudes should also work in Cuba. Serious mistake. This is how they thought 60 years ago, when they hoped to conquer and re-subjugate a people that in those early years of their released freedom, did not have much more than their rebellion, their love for the country and a dream, almost chimera, for which to fight and win.

The current US government has ignored the clamor of Cuban, American and worldwide citizens who demand the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade that they have imposed on the Cuban family for more than 60 years. The blockade is cruel and criminal in all its dimensions. But its reinforcement and maintenance of 243 measures adopted in recent years that directly impact the vitality of the Cuban health system and its ability to respond to the current pandemic is genocidal.

We Cubans do not need corridors or humanitarian interventions and we reject any annexation plan aimed at revoking the social work of the Revolution. The people of Cuba do demand the unconditional and immediate lifting of the blockade.

We call upon honest individuals and organizations to remain vigilant and forcefully oppose the interference of the government of the United States of America and its attempts to besmirch the sovereignty and independence of Cubans. Mobilization is urgently required to demand the end of a cruel and criminal blockade that seeks to suffocate the Cuban family in frank violation of their most basic human rights.
Our Motherland or Death!!!
